What happens during laser tattoo removal?

During your initial consultation at Florida Cosmetic Center, Dr. Pasha examines your tattoo and develops a treatment plan.

At your first treatment, a staff member takes you to a comfortable room where the tattoo removal takes place. The doctor gives you a pair of protective eye shields that you must wear throughout the entire procedure.

Dr. Pasha tests the laser on your skin to find the most effective setting, then uses the laser to administer the pulses of energy into the pigment of your tattoo. This only impacts the top layer of skin, protecting your surrounding tissue to eliminate irritation and scarring.

Once the session is over, you can leave the office. Dr. Pasha recommends wearing sunscreen over the treated area afterward, however.

How long does it take to remove a tattoo?
